Word Problems for Nonreaders helps students with limited or no reading skills solve basic addition problems based on life in the real world. The activity sheets are illustrated to allow visual learners to understand how math works in everyday life.
Two Levels: As a support for nonreaders and struggling readers, the activity sheets are presented in two formats. The first level of Word Problems for Nonreaders includes SymbolStix symbols by News-2-You for nonreaders. SymbolStix allows nonreaders to read and understand the clear and simple word problems. The second level, for students who can read, features easy-to-understand sentences without symbols. Both levels include visual representations of the math problems.
Binder includes 150 reproducible activity sheets; a printable full-color PDF of the entire binder; clear and simple teacher instructions; a progress chart; and an answer key.
